BAR Studio has reinvented Grand Hyatt Seoul’s guestrooms and suites bringing contemporary, residential luxury to the South Korean capital’s flagship five-star hotel.

The transformation builds on the design legacy of renowned talent John Morford’s earlier interior design, defining a new era and evolution for this significant hotel. Integrating the old design with the new was central to BAR Studio’s process.

The renovation of the upper-floor suites, representing the final phase of the project, creates a refined urban retreat for the 21st century, backdropped by Mount Namsan and the Han River.

The Presidential, Ambassador and Diplomatic Suites each have a distinct palette and character. BAR Studio worked with the existing architectural features of the spaces and brought a new sensibility through finishes, furniture, lighting and artwork.

The result is a group of luxurious accommodations that blend the local and the international, the classic and the contemporary.
