From our base in Melbourne, BAR Studio worked closely with Rosewood’s development team and the local architect of record, PMC, to translate Rosewood’s signature ‘Sense of Place’® philosophy and style of hospitality into the brand’s first resort development.

The result is a design that acknowledges its international context yet is profoundly influenced by its geographical and cultural location; raw and refined, sophisticated yet relaxed.

The guest villas reflect ‘Sense of Place’® through relaxed and residential interiors with uniquely Thai accents in art and detail. The emphasis on natural materials and comfortable furnishings translates into an effortless style that captures both the essence of a resort and a private home.

Each of the F&B outlets feels like a stand-alone venue, with its own unique personality, yet all integrally connected to the resort – forming part of the narrative and spatial journey. The collective diversity of these venues contributes to the sense of Rosewood Phuket as a village that flows from the hillside to the beach.

It is the balance of architectural elements, sophisticated interiors, diverse landscapes, captivating details, and a dramatic unfolding of interior and exterior spaces that gives Rosewood Phuket its unique personality.

The result is an environment that delivers spectacularly on first encounters yet continually unfolds and engages guests with a myriad of hidden surprises.
