Rosewood Villa Magna is the first hotel for the Rosewood brand in Spain and involved a swift yet comprehensive transformation of the existing Villa Magna hotel.

Villa Magna, dating from the 1970s, had cemented itself as a landmark venue within the city, and the design brief was effectively to retain the spirit of the existing hotel while implementing a transformation to appeal to the next generations of travellers and locals, as well as a uniquely Rosewood character.

The project required a soft yet striking refurbishment of the majority of the hotel’s 154 rooms and suites, and the creation of two spectacular new suites with exceptional views.
The ground floor was reimagined to provide a diverse yet connected set of F&B spaces, anchored by a central courtyard. These spaces bring variety to the hotel in terms of operations, design and guest experience. The transformation also involved the creation of flexible function spaces enhancing the hotel’s offering within the city.

The chic design is contemporary yet timeless, with a residential feel and a personality that is unmistakeably of Madrid.
