Grand Hyatt Hong Kong

As part of a major renovation of the hotel, BAR Studio designed Grand Hyatt Hong Kong’s new guest rooms, suites and corridors, Teppanroom, Grand Café, Grand Club and Grand Suites.

The new interiors blend the traditional and modern, Eastern and Western in an elegant residential style and the new spaces maximise the celebrated views of Hong Kong. The hotel’s new guestrooms feel spacious and light, contrasting with richly hued guest-floor corridors. The Teppanroom offers a sophisticated and discreet private-dining experience, with a rich and moody interior and wide-ranging stylistic influences layered over a Japanese base.

The Grand Café, an institution since the hotel opened in 1989, has been returned to the forefront of restaurant design by BAR Studio’s re-interpretation of this dining icon, without losing touch with its context and history. The new Grand Club has a diversity of settings suggesting a sophisticated loft-space; an intimate living room with communal table, private meeting rooms, lounge space with an eclectic mix of seating, a library and an inviting kitchen for guests. The Club anchors the renovated Grand Suites; inspired by fictional travellers whose journeys have brought them through the hotel’s doors, the suites form a set of exclusive, individual and residence-like spaces within the hotel.
